This cutting head is heat treated at 1800+ Degrees and than tempered for maximum hardnesss and duaribilty. It is made from USA A2 tool steel that is also used by knife and tool makers, very hard and durable with (6) RAZOR SHARP CUTTING TIPS. This is a very easy to use tool. Took me 20 mintues to sharpen my (3) wedges. I could tell a huge difference when I played, the ball had much more backspin than before. Nice quality and design, seemed to stay sharp
